Reliable Information for Families – PRINTO Patient Leaflets Now Available

Understanding a child’s rheumatic disease can be overwhelming. Families are often faced with unfamiliar terminology, complex treatment options, and the uncertainty that comes with a long-term condition. Access to clear, trustworthy, and practical information can make a difference in such moments.

That’s why we’re proud to share a dedicated section on our site that contains direct links to patient information leaflets from the Pediatric Rheumatology International Trials Organisation (PRINTO). These leaflets cover many pediatric rheumatic diseases, from juvenile idiopathic arthritis and lupus to vasculitis and autoinflammatory syndromes.

Each leaflet provides accessible, evidence-based explanations explicitly written for patients and families. It addresses symptoms, diagnoses, treatment options, and everyday challenges in a language that’s easy to understand. Many leaflets are also available in multiple languages, making it easier for non-English-speaking families to find the help they need.

We have collected and organized these resources to:

• Support families during diagnosis and treatment

• Empower caregivers with up-to-date, expert-backed knowledge

• Help children better understand what’s happening in their bodies

• Reduce the burden of searching for reliable information

This is part of our broader mission to connect families and professionals across countries and languages—ensuring no one has to face these challenges alone.
